CFI

Anybody know of any flight school's in need of CFI's? Preferably a school with a large student body and constant flow. Housing included would be preferred. I've been looking around online and so far places I've come across are pretty much the same situation I'm in now, small school, self ran employees, no students, no income. The search goes on...

Re: CFI

I do a bit of CFI-ing and banner towing on the side. Neither endeavor has produced any flight time since summer. I'm a teacher in my other life, so Sept -June is pretty busy, but I usually get a number of fall football banner towing gigs, but not this year. The flight school I part-timed for is nominally active, but not conducive to my schedule...and they only pay $5/hr + $10/hr flt time. And they have an influx of newly former airline types looking for some flight time. Wisconsin in November is not the best for flight time anyway. We're transitioning a Super Cub from floats to wheels...it's that time of year. Good luck with your search. Wings

Possible solutions

Hi, there are some possible alternatives. I have heard of two different places that you might checkout. Flights-inc out of centennial airport, Colorado (KAPA), or Daedalus out of Front Range. They have a veriety of iarcraft to choose from. For future MEI work flights has seminola pa-44's and daedalus has piper seneca's.

Hello: Do I have what it takes to become

I am 46 years old and live in Sacrameto County, California. I am ready for a career change. I need help deciding if becoming a professional aviator (aicraft pilot for a living) is right for me. Do I have what it takes? Is aviation only reserved for the independently wealthy? What would legally bar me from operating an airplane in the US as far as medical or FAA regulations go? I am a civilian. Beginning a flying career in the military is not an option. I am an army veteran and was barred from military flight training because of eyeglasses.

Re: Hello: Do I have what it takes to be

to become a pilot? I have no aircraft operating experience except for playing with PC flight simulators. Those PC flight simulators have put the bug into my head though. I am in college majoring in computers/IT as an undergraduate right now. I feel the job market might be more promising for pilots, though. I am not just considering flying for airlines, but for private or business plane owners as well. "Sacramento" spelling correction.
